Specifications

  • Acoustic stethoscope
  • On-board continuous-wave Doppler (output power <10mW from ±12mm2 ceramic Xducer)
  • Doppler mode frequency: 8 MHz
  • Powered by one (6LR61) 9V lithium battery
  • Operating time: approx. 25 hours according to use (with the supplied battery)

In practice, 2 uses:

As a standard stethoscope, for quality acoustic auscultation.
When the diaphragm applied to the skin vibrates, the sound waves are collected in the chestpiece and transmitted to the earpieces.

In Doppler mode: one switch, one probe... extreme simplicity!
On-board continuous-wave Doppler probe: just angle towards the vessel to explore and listen to the Doppler signal through the earpieces.

Replacement of the battery:

Installing the battery in its housing:

To open the housing and install the battery, press on the clips with the supplied tool (or with a pencil or screwdriver tip).

Once the battery is connected, close the housing by pressing simultaneously on both sides and on the top.

Position of fingers for easy handling

Please move the finger and switch ON/OFF

View n°1 :
In the stethoscope mode, handle as usual = circuit OFF.

View n°2 :
In Doppler mode, a simple click on the button
= circuit ON. It switches itself off after 3 minutes.

Very high quality stethoscopic auscultation

Just use your usual acoustic auscultation technique - Listen to the sound of the acoustic stethoscope

Auscultation with Doppler investigation

Audible murmur in stethoscopic mode: switch to Doppler mode to check it out (using the controlateral Doppler signal for reference).

No audible murmur in stethoscopic mode but patient at risk of arteriopathy: measure ABI.

Please note that when the battery is exposed to very cold temperatures for a prolonged period, the Stethoflux® may flash in orange but after one hour the battery will regain its charge and the Stethoflux® will operate as normal.
